With the UNIVERGE® SV7000 Communications Server, NEC has realized the promised potential of IP telephony by unifying voice applications and messaging on your network. It is an integral part of NEC’s UNIVERGE360 approach and is designed to empower your business and make the network a more productive asset for your organization.

The SV7000 fuses existing NEC technologies with dynamic advancements in hardware and software to satisfy the most stringent system requirements. It offers over 900 features in addition to its sophisticated design, distributed processing, sensible migration path, comprehensive network solutions and customizable functionality.

Innovative hardware and software design allows the SV7000 to serve efficiently and grow incrementally over its entire size spectrum, ranging from 300 ports to 6,000 ports. With NEC’s Fusion networking, its size can be expanded to up to 132,000 ports.

Proprietary IP instruments (Dterm) may be provided to increase system flexibility and eliminate the need for conventional multiple line stations with their associated control equipment and cable plant requirements. In addition to the proprietary terminals, SIP standard devices are also supported by the SV7000.

Additionally, users have the ability to migrate an existing UNIVERGE NEAX 2400 IPX to the UNIVERGE SV7000 IP platform. All future additions to the integrated 2400 IPX are on the powerful SV7000 IP platform. This integration preserves most existing TDM equipment and enables existing PIMs to function as high density gateways.
